Judy - Freelance Editor

judy_schuler

Judy has been doing freelance editing online for more than five years. She was drawn to editing when she realized that she was finding mistakes in almost every book she read. As she says, “I can’t not edit, even when reading for pleasure.” Many of her clients are independently published, some are beginning writers, and some have been writing for years. At least one has published with a major publisher. She prefers editing fiction, but will edit anything except technical writing, poetry, and porn. She has successfully edited for students working on their Masters and PhDs, although she leaves the formatting to the client.

When she isn’t editing, she writes, usually for children, although she has had articles and stories published for adults as well. She has been published in periodicals such as Scholastic Scope, Grit, and Writers’ Journal. Her book, Foxes for Kids, is now out of print, but still available on Amazon.

Judy is selective about which projects she works with. If you are interested in hiring her, please contact: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
