Lisa is a publishing executive and editor with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. As well as spearheading four publishing startups with $2 million to $17 million dollars in growth, Lisa has simultaneously run her own business, Editorial Services of L.A. She has written over 100 children's books, was lead author on Amazon’s bestselling Writing Children’s Books for Dummies (Wiley, 2005), and co-wrote the NY Times bestselling adult nonfiction hardcover, Fund Your Future (Berkley, 2002) with Julie Stav. Her books have received various accolades, such as reaching Number 1 on the Publishers Weekly Bestseller List two years in a row (Make Your Own Valentines, PSS/Penguin), and winning the American Bookseller’s Pick of the List (Giant Animal Fold-Outs: Kangaroo & Company, PSS/Penguin). King Arthur’s Camelot (Dutton) was selected to be a Book of the Month Club selection; Child Magazine chose her Exploring the Human Body (Barron’s) as one of its Best New Parenting Books; and The Magic Feather (Troll) won a Parent’s Choice Silver Honor Award.

She has been Editorial/Publishing Director for Golden Books, Price Stern Sloan/Penguin Group USA, Intervisual Books, Gateway Learning Corp (Hooked on Phonics), and others. Lisa speaks about children’s publishing, writing, and editing at U.C.L.A. Writer’s Program Extension courses and other venues. Lisa’s company, Editorial Services of Los Angeles, is her longest-running venture and closest to her heart because she loves helping writers make their work the best it can be.

• Lisa is also the Founder of The Yes Factory, a Creative Product Development Company
• She was the founding V.P. & Publisher of Americhip Books, which specialized in high-tech, high-concept children’s books.
• Lisa runs writers workshops for writers of fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books.
• Lisa is listed in Who’s Who, Who’s Who of American Women, and Who’s Who in the West.
