Johnathan currently works in the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt adult trade editorial department. Prior to that, he served as an assistant editor at William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, where he edited cookbooks (such as the forthcoming Living Raw Food, Organic and Chic, and Lulu Powers: Food to Flowers), nonfiction (Bringing Home the Birkin, My Cousin the Saint, Alchemy, and What's Next) and fiction (such as New York Times bestselling A Lion Among Men by Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked). He has also spent some time on the agency side, developing proposals for almost every kind of book from selfhelp and business to cookbooks and memoirs, and his experience includes copyediting in addition to substantive editing and work with translations (especially German). A novelist and blogger for the Huffington Post, he is a graduate of the Columbia University Master of Fine Arts program in fiction writing and holds a Bachelor of Arts in fiction writing from Northwestern University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
